Te.A (GHE) - UrtiMax 5 Litre

Urtimax® - Chlorosis Treatment, Organic Silica Source, General Health Tonic and Adaptable Pest Repellent

What is Terra Aquatica Urtimax?

Urtimax® is an organic, multi-purpose product that promotes plant growth, resolves leaf chlorosis and mineral deficiencies, and increases resistance to pests. It is a high-quality nettle source used by gardeners for centuries. Produced by fermenting nettles in water, Urtimax® offers exceptional protection and nutrition for your plants.

Nettles are extremely rich in silica and iron, and contain high levels of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, microelements, enzymes, and trace minerals. Just as in the seaweed emulsion, nettle tea stimulates the plant's immune system, increasing its resistance to insect and disease attacks.

Chlorosis in plants is the condition where leaves lose their normal green color and turn yellow. This condition is caused by a lack of chlorophyll and is generally associated with deficiencies or insufficiencies of some basic nutrients required for plant health and development. Chlorosis can negatively affect the photosynthesis ability of plants and, in serious cases, can reduce plant growth and yield.

What is Chlorosis in Plants?

Iron Deficiency: Iron is required for chlorophyll production. Iron deficiency is a common cause of chlorosis in plants and is typically seen as yellowing in newly growing leaves.

Nitrogen Deficiency: Nitrogen plays a critical role in plant protein and chlorophyll production. Nitrogen deficiency can cause all leaves to turn pale green or yellow.

Magnesium Deficiency: Magnesium is the central atom of the chlorophyll molecule. Magnesium deficiency leads to chlorosis symptoms, especially in older leaves.

Other Microelement Deficiencies: Deficiencies in zinc, manganese, and other microelements can also cause chlorosis.

Root Problems: Root damage, root rot, or insufficient water and nutrient uptake by roots can prevent plants from obtaining the nutrients they need and lead to chlorosis.

pH Level: Imbalance in the pH level of soil or nutrient solution that hinders the plant's absorption of nutrients can cause chlorosis.

Water Issues: Overwatering or insufficient drainage can prevent roots from receiving enough oxygen and disrupt nutrient uptake.

What are the Symptoms of Chlorosis?

Yellowing of Leaves: The most obvious symptom of chlorosis is the loss of green color in leaves and turning them yellow.

Intervenal Yellowing: While leaf veins usually remain green, the tissue between the veins may turn yellow.

Growth Stunting: Plants with chlorosis may grow slower than normal and their overall health may deteriorate.

Soil Test: A soil test can be done to determine the cause of chlorosis.

Fertilizer Use: Terra Aquatica Urtimax is used to treat chlorosis in plants.

pH Adjustment: The pH level of soil or nutrient solution can be adjusted to optimize nutrient uptake.

Good Drainage Provided: Ensure that the soil or growing medium provides good drainage.

Leaf Spray: Leaf sprays containing iron or other microelements can be used.

Preventing and treating chlorosis is important to ensure healthy growth and productivity of plants. Chlorosis formation in plants can be minimized by providing the correct nutrient balance and appropriate growing conditions.
